Thank you for visiting the Laurel Valley Transportation Improvement Project (LVTIP) website, a product of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Engineering District 12-0 and the Federal Highway Administration, in cooperation with Westmoreland County. The primary focus of the LVTIP is to improve safety, access and mobility along the SR 981 corridor between SR 819 and the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.


Consistent Corridor Typical Section

While the three LVTIP projects will be designed and constructed separately, all three will include similar improvements to create a consistent and cohesive corridor.
